The Magazines

I chose to do these two magazines to get a much clearer view on what was effective and what was not and what would be the best to do, from this I have seen that the Queens of the stone age magazine is a lot more eye catching than the weezer one, but the weezer one is still very good, so from comparing these two, just like the album/cd covers, I have a better idea of what would be effective and what would be the most effective and time worthy to make. This will help with time organisation and design, so from this I can tell that if we could combine the two, perhaps a pose with stylised writing which stands out and screams rock with maybe some ‘sex, drugs, rock and roll’ kind of pictures, we could have a very effective poster, which wouldn’t take ages to do and we could use editing to make it stand out more.

These could be easily turned into an advert for a tour or selling a song, you could roughly use the same image, keep some of the headings, put a picture of the Album on it and change the formant of it all if you wanted to do a advert in the magazine rather than on it.
