Ancillary - CD - Final Design

I took the pictures of Calum and Lewis.

These were the pictures we used to construct our CD pack, they were originaly coloured and just normal but we decided to go for a black and white look, we decided on this because it gave us a theme to work on adn expand on for our ancillarys and gave us a link to all of them.
The idea to make them black and white came from the idea of using black and white on the narrative sections, this gave us a link between the Main task and Ancillarys.

Ancillary - Magazine - Final + Feedback From the 2nd drafts

The feedback we got about the two ideas was helpful because we found that the majority of the people preferred this design for the advert, because they felt it was more creative and the layout was better, they felt the image was more professional and suited the genre. They thought that the pose that the band had for the picture was effective because it fitted with the genre and seemed a bit more indie and interesting.We agree with the feedback and have chosen this design, we have decided to add more to it to make it look a bit more professional though.

Ancillary - 1st Draft

This was our first draft of the Digipak, we had some problems using Gin and Pills, so we are in the process of changing it and have almost finished.

Recently I helped Lewis create the album front and back cover (track list), while he came up with some of the ideas, I came up with more because while he was doing more of the construction I gave up with ideas.

Lewis then worked with Calumto do the interior and the CD, though I came up with the layout of the CD and worked together with Calum to decide on its styles and colouring, we wanted a simple black on it, which would be in contrast to the rest of the digipak.

Whats Happening

Over the past few weeks we have been working on ancillary as a group, we have our main ideas and designs done for the CD, Front Cover and Back for the Album Package. We need to retake the image for the Front Cover and move some of the titles and words on it and the same with the Song Lsist where we need to make it less jammed together.

This is the magazine advert I have designed, we still havent decided on a background for it. Calum has also made a poster and we both have the same issue where we dont have a background for them. We decided to do two so we can get a bit of feedback from people on which they like best.
